As a Recreation Program Aide, you will play a crucial role in the planning, organization, and execution of a diverse range of recreational activities and programs designed for guests of all ages and interests. This includes everything from assisting with supervised children’s play sessions, organizing engaging adult sports activities, facilitating lively group games and contests, to setting up and supporting evening entertainment and special events. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily setup and breakdown of all recreational equipment and activity areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for use.
- Actively engage with guests of all ages, enthusiastically encouraging participation in scheduled programs and activities.
- Facilitate and supervise various recreational activities, including sports, games, arts and crafts, fitness classes, and themed events.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during recreational activities, strictly adhering to established safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Provide clear, concise, and enthusiastic instructions for activities, adapting communication to different age groups and abilities.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of recreation areas and equipment throughout the day, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Assist in the development of new and exciting recreational programs and themed events based on guest feedback, seasonal trends, and creative ideas.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide accurate, helpful information about daily activities, hotel amenities, and local attractions.
- Collaborate effectively with the recreation team and other hotel departments (e.g., F&B, Front Office) to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Attend regular team meetings and participate in training sessions to enhance skills, stay informed on hotel policies, and contribute to team goals.

- Certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of other local languages (e.g., Changana, Xitsonga) is considered a valuable asset.
- Demonstrated experience or interest in various sports, fitness activities, creative arts, or musical talents.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
