Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and separate recyclable materials such as paper, plastics, glass, and metals on a conveyor belt or sorting line.
  • Operate and monitor recycling machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, including balers, shredders, and compactors.
  • Perform quality checks on sorted materials to ensure they meet specifications for further processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, as required.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on equipment under supervision.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily production targets and operational goals.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify different types of recyclable materials.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
