Key Responsibilities
- Sort and separate recyclable materials such as paper, plastics, glass, and metals on a conveyor belt or sorting line.
- Operate and monitor recycling machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, including balers, shredders, and compactors.
- Perform quality checks on sorted materials to ensure they meet specifications for further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, as required.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on equipment under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily production targets and operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
