Key Responsibilities
- Diligently sort various recyclable materials, including plastics, paper, cardboard, glass, and metals, on a conveyor belt or designated area.
- Identify and remove contaminants or non-recyclable items from the sorting line to ensure material purity and quality.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and contribute to overall facility cleanliness throughout your shift.
- Operate basic machinery and equipment safely as part of the sorting process, following proper training and guidelines provided by supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient material flow, troubleshoot minor issues, and meet daily processing targets.
- Perform general clean-up duties in the plant as needed to maintain a safe and orderly environment for all staff.
- Assist with other operational tasks as directed by the supervisor to support overall facility operations and productivity.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, including excellent punctuality and attendance.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25-50 lbs as needed throughout the shift.
- Ability to work effectively and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to following all safety protocols and a willingness to learn new procedures.
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude and a cooperative approach to work.
- Basic communication skills to understand instructions and interact effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
