Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead animators with various production tasks, including asset preparation, scene setup, and file management.
- Perform clean-up and in-betweening work to ensure smooth animation sequences.
- Organize and maintain project files, assets, and documentation on shared cloud platforms.
- Conduct research for visual references, character designs, and background elements.
- Provide administrative support to the animation and production teams, such as scheduling and communication.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and regular team meetings, contributing ideas and updates.
- Review animation frames for quality control and consistency under supervision.
- Help with rendering tasks and preparing final outputs for review.
- Learn and apply new animation techniques and software as required by project needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment and address potential roadblocks.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in animation software such as Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, or similar.
- Foundational understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, squash & stretch, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Basic knowledge of digital drawing and illustration.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in Animation, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in an animation studio or a related creative production role.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello).
- Experience with 2D character rigging and basic motion graphics.
