Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality 2D and 3D animations for characters, environments, UI elements, and special effects for gaming applications.
- Collaborate closely with art directors, game designers, and other artists to ensure animations align with the project's artistic vision and technical requirements.
- Iterate on animation cycles based on feedback, optimizing for performance and visual fidelity across various platforms.
- Maintain consistency in animation style and quality throughout assigned projects.
- Contribute to the development of animation pipelines and best practices.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines in a remote work setting.
- Stay current with industry trends, software, and animation techniques to continually enhance skills.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 3D animation software (e.g., Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Blender).
- Strong understanding of traditional animation principles (timing, spacing, weight, anticipation, etc.).
- Experience with character rigging and skinning.
- Ability to animate various styles, from realistic to stylized.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a remote environment.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating relevant animation work.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Game Art, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and asset integration.
- Proficiency in 2D animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony).
- Previous experience working in the gaming or entertainment industry.
- Familiarity with motion capture data processing and clean-up.
