Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments, including risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and security architecture reviews for clients.
- Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on incident response planning, threat detection, and security awareness training programs.
- Collaborate with clients to design and integrate security solutions, including SIEM, EDR, IAM, and cloud security platforms.
- Present findings, recommendations, and security roadmaps to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and regulations to provide proactive advice.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the development of Rapid7's cybersecurity service offerings.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, security engineering, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Proficiency with various security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management tools, and firewalls.
- Strong knowledge of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and application security principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple client engagements, and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty).
- Experience with security automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with penetration testing methodologies and tools.
- Master's degree in a cybersecurity-related discipline.
