Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Remote Fundraising Strategy Partner to join our dedicated team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in guiding our diverse portfolio of non-profit clients across the UK to develop and implement robust, innovative, and sustainable fundraising strategies. As a Fundraising Strategy Partner, you will work closely with client leadership teams, providing expert advice, conducting in-depth analyses, and designing bespoke fundraising plans tailored to their unique missions and objectives. You will be responsible for identifying new funding opportunities, optimising existing revenue streams, and fostering a culture of philanthropic success within client organisations. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising strategies for a diverse portfolio of charity and non-profit clients.
  • Conduct thorough fundraising audits and needs assessments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Provide expert consultation and guidance to client leadership on best practices in philanthropic giving, major donor cultivation, grants, corporate partnerships, and digital fundraising.
  • Research and identify new funding sources, including trusts, foundations, government grants, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Develop compelling cases for support, proposals, and presentations to secure significant financial commitments.
  • Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance against agreed-upon KPIs, adapting strategies as necessary to achieve targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Stay abreast of trends and innovations in the fundraising sector, sharing insights and best practices with clients and the Cause4 team.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and business development initiatives, helping to expand Cause4's reach and impact.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive and knowledge-sharing remote work culture.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in fundraising, with at least 3 years in a strategic or leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrable track record of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies that have resulted in significant income growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of various fundraising streams, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, trusts & foundations, and individual giving.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in fundraising CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working effectively in a remote, autonomous environment.
  • Understanding of the UK charity sector landscape and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A relevant Master's degree (e.g., Charity Management, Business Administration, Marketing).
  • Professional certification in fundraising (e.g., CFRE).
  • Experience working as a consultant or within an agency serving multiple non-profit clients.
  • Familiarity with digital fundraising platforms and strategies.
  • Existing network within the UK philanthropic community.
