Job Description
Siemens Healthineers is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote HR Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This crucial full-time role will provide comprehensive HR support to our employees across various departments, operating entirely remotely, while being associated with our Edison, New Jersey presence. As a Remote HR Generalist, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive and productive work environment, ensuring compliance with all HR policies and regulations, and contributing to the overall success of our workforce in a distributed setting. You will serve as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, provide expert guidance on HR best practices, and play a vital role in areas such as employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, HR information systems (HRIS) management, and talent development initiatives. This position requires a proactive, self-driven individual with excellent communication skills, a strong ethical compass, and the ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, remote environment, leveraging digital tools and collaborative platforms effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing accurate and timely information and guidance.
- Manage employee relations issues, conducting investigations, mediating conflicts, and advising on appropriate resolutions in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Administer HR programs, including benefits enrollment, leave management (FMLA, short-term/long-term disability), workers' compensation, and unemployment claims processing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date confidential HR records and data within the HRIS (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors), ensuring data integrity and privacy.
- Assist with comprehensive onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees, including remote orientation.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback cycles, and development plans.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ADA, EEO, OSHA).
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on HR-related topics, including talent management, disciplinary actions, and team development strategies.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR efficiency, employee engagement, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Facilitate training sessions on HR-related topics, such as harassment prevention, diversity & inclusion, and performance management, as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (4+ years) as an HR Generalist or similar comprehensive HR role.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and current employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA).
- Proficiency with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), preferably Workday or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for effective remote collaboration and employee interactions.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and manage time efficiently in a remote setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable with virtual communication tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom).

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Experience working specifically in a remote or hybrid work environment.
