Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Remote Learning & Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to design, implement, and manage innovative learning strategies for our diverse global workforce, all from the comfort and flexibility of a remote working model with flexible hours. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive remote learning strategy aligned with BP's business objectives and talent development goals.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective digital learning modules, virtual workshops, and blended learning solutions.
  • Conduct thorough training needs assessments through collaboration with business leaders, HR partners, and employees across various functions.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of learning programs, including content creation, technology integration, marketing, and evaluation.
  • Select and manage relationships with external training vendors and content providers, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
  • Utilize learning analytics to measure the effectiveness of L&D initiatives and report on key metrics and ROI to stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies to support remote delivery.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and innovative instructional design methodologies.
  • Coach and mentor junior L&D professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Facilitate virtual training sessions and workshops, demonstrating expert-level facilitation skills.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 2 years in a management or lead role.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering successful remote and flexible learning programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM).
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and various e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with diverse stakeholders remotely.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable L&D strategies.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment with flexible hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • Certification in instructional design, learning technologies, or change management.
  • Experience working within the energy, oil & gas, or a large global corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with various virtual collaboration tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Miro).
  • Experience with gamification techniques in learning design.
