Golley Slater is seeking a dedicated Remote Media Monitoring Analyst to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily media monitoring across print, broadcast, online, and social media channels using specialist tools.
  • Analyse media coverage to identify key themes, sentiment, share of voice, and emerging trends relevant to client objectives.
  • Prepare comprehensive and insightful media reports, including daily alerts, weekly summaries, and in-depth campaign evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain media lists and monitoring search strings to ensure accurate and relevant data collection.
  • Identify and flag potential reputational risks or opportunities for clients, providing timely alerts to internal teams.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of media monitoring processes and reporting templates.
  • Collaborate effectively with PR account teams to align monitoring efforts with client strategies and reporting needs.
  • Stay informed about industry news, media landscape changes, and new monitoring technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a media monitoring or analysis role, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Proficiency with media monitoring platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Cision, Signal AI, Gorkana, Brandwatch).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear and concise reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and current affairs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of an additional European language.
  • Familiarity with PR measurement frameworks (e.g., AMEC).
