Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive fact-finds with clients remotely to understand their financial circumstances, needs, and aspirations.
- Research and recommend suitable mortgage products from a wide range of lenders, ensuring best fit for client requirements.
- Provide expert advice on mortgage options, including first-time buyer mortgages, remortgages, buy-to-let, and equity release.
- Advise clients on relevant protection policies (life assurance, critical illness cover, income protection) to safeguard their financial future.
- Prepare and present clear, compliant mortgage illustrations and suitability reports.
- Manage client applications from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage market trends, regulatory changes, and lender criteria.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships, fostering trust and encouraging repeat business and referrals.
- Adhere strictly to FCA regulations and company compliance procedures at all times.
- Proactively engage in continuous professional development to enhance expertise and qualifications.
Required Skills
- CeMAP qualification (full CeMAP 1, 2, and 3 or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mortgage Advisor.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and mortgage sourcing software.
- Ability to work autonomously, managing a pipeline of clients effectively.
