Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, user-friendly, and interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
  • Connect to various data sources (SQL databases, cloud platforms, flat files, etc.) and perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to understand requirements and deliver impactful data solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data displayed in all Tableau visualizations.
  • Optimize Tableau dashboards and data sources for performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical expertise, support, and training to end-users on Tableau best practices and functionalities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all developed Tableau assets and data processes.
  • Stay current with Tableau features, industry best practices, and emerging visualization techniques.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Tableau development (Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud).
  • Expertise in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts.
  • Proficiency in connecting Tableau to various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with other business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik Sense).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of financial services industry data and reporting requirements.
  • Tableau Desktop Certified Professional or similar certifications.
