Babel Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Technical Consultant to join our dynamic team. Operating from a remote setup, you will engage directly with clients across the nation, providing expert guidance, technical support, and strategic recommendations to ensure optimal utilization and integration of the Babel Health platform. Your responsibilities will span the entire client lifecycle, from initial implementation and configuration to ongoing support, performance tuning, and the development of customized solutions. This position requires a strong technical background, particularly in data management, SQL, and API integrations, combined with exceptional communication and client-facing skills. You will become a subject matter expert in our platform, helping clients navigate the intricacies of encounter data submission, risk adjustment, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned clients, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, gather requirements, and design tailored solutions leveraging the Babel Health platform.
- Perform complex data analysis, SQL querying, and scripting to support client inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
- Configure and implement platform features, ensuring seamless integration with client systems via APIs and other data exchange methods.
- Provide expert technical support, diagnosing and resolving client-reported issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive technical training and documentation for client teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, engineering, and sales teams to communicate client feedback and influence product enhancements.
- Conduct regular client reviews to assess system utilization, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in healthcare IT and data management.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, demonstrating technical capabilities and supporting sales efforts when required.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a technical consulting, solutions architecture, or similar client-facing technical role.
- Proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data manipulation, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of API integrations and web services (REST/SOAP).
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and large datasets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously in a remote setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the healthcare industry, particularly with health plans, encounter data (e.g., EDPS, EDS, RAPS), or risk adjustment.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Project management experience or certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM).
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical or business field.
