Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of solar panels, inverters, and other renewable energy components.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and diagnostic checks on operational systems under supervision.
- Support experienced technicians in troubleshooting and resolving minor technical issues efficiently.
- Help prepare project sites, ensuring proper safety measures are in place and equipment is organized.
- Accurately collect and record data related to system performance, energy production, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, reporting discrepancies as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and workshops to continuously enhance technical knowledge.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate progress or challenges to supervisors.
- Document work performed, including detailed service reports and photographic evidence where required.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a relevant technical or engineering program (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Sustainable Energy, or Trades related to construction/electrician).
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and learn new technical skills quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to work comfortably at heights and in varying weather conditions (with appropriate safety training and PPE).
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
