Job Description
The University of Cape Coast is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research and Development Technician to join our dynamic research teams. Key Responsibilities
- Execute laboratory experiments and research protocols meticulously under the guidance of lead researchers.
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and samples to ensure optimal functionality and accuracy.
- Accurately collect, record, and organize experimental data, ensuring data integrity and proper documentation.
- Perform basic analysis of experimental data and assist in the interpretation of results.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations, ethical guidelines, and quality control procedures.
- Maintain detailed and organized laboratory notebooks and digital records of all experimental procedures and outcomes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions; report major issues to appropriate personnel for repair.
- Collaborate effectively with researchers, faculty, and students, providing technical assistance and sharing expertise.
- Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, and publications by compiling data and information.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies, tracking usage, and ensuring proper storage of materials.
Required Skills
- Proven practical laboratory skills and experience with standard lab techniques.

- Prior experience working in a university, industrial research, or diagnostic laboratory setting.
