Job Description

Accenture Mauritius is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our dynamic team, focusing on critical academic-style projects that underpin our strategic insights and client solutions. As a Research Assistant, you will be instrumental in conducting in-depth research, synthesizing complex information, and contributing to the development of thought leadership and evidence-based recommendations. You will work on various initiatives that may span across diverse industries, from emerging technologies and market trends to socio-economic analyses and organizational effectiveness. This role demands a keen analytical mind, excellent investigative skills, and the ability to articulate findings clearly and concisely, often for a non-technical audience.

Your primary focus will be on projects that require a deep dive into existing literature, data collection from credible sources, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and the formulation of well-supported conclusions. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and secondary research using academic databases, industry reports, and proprietary sources.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of research methodologies for various projects.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify key trends and insights.
  • Prepare detailed research summaries, reports, presentations, and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the drafting of white papers, thought leadership articles, and case studies based on research findings.
  • Collaborate with project teams to translate research insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain organized research databases and documentation, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Stay abreast of relevant industry trends, academic developments, and research methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in academic or professional research, including literature reviews and data analysis.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentation.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information from various sources into clear, concise summaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Understanding of research ethics and data privacy principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Business, Economics, STEM).
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python for data analysis).
  • Familiarity with qualitative research software (e.g., NVivo, ATLAS.ti).
  • Prior experience in a consulting firm, research institute, or corporate R&D department.
  • Knowledge of specific industry sectors relevant to Accenture's operations in Mauritius.
