Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with daily routines, personal hygiene, and meal times.
- Implement and contribute to individual care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and regularly reviewed.
- Engage residents in educational, recreational, and social activities both within the residential setting and in the community.
- Support residents in developing independent living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal management.
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours effectively and safely, adhering to established protocols and training.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including daily logs, incident reports, and progress notes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, management, external professionals, and families to ensure holistic care.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting healthy relationships, respect, and positive communication.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Participate actively in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
