Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in and orientation to resort facilities.
  • Proactively engage with guests to anticipate and address their needs and inquiries throughout their stay.
  • Provide comprehensive information regarding resort amenities, activities, local attractions, and dining options.
  • Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of common guest areas, including reception, lounges, and activity zones.
  • Assist with luggage handling, transportation arrangements, and other concierge-style services.
  • Collaborate effectively with various resort departments (e.g., Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, requests, and feedback to inform service improvements.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili (both written and verbal).
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Basic computer proficiency for administrative tasks and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in a guest-facing role within a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) or booking software.
  • Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, German, Mandarin) is a significant advantage.
