Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented, friendly, and reliable individual with a knack for numbers and a passion for customer service? Likuena Food Junction is seeking an enthusiastic Full-Time Restaurant Cashier to join our vibrant team in Ha Ntema, Mafeteng. As the first and last point of contact for many of our cherished customers, your role is absolutely critical in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and pleasant dining experience. You will be responsible for accurately processing all transactions, handling cash and card payments, and maintaining a tidy and organized cashier station. This position is more than just handling money; it’s about creating positive interactions, answering customer queries, and upholding our commitment to exceptional service.
Your day will involve greeting customers with a genuine smile, taking their orders accurately using our Point of Sale (POS) system, and processing payments with precision. You’ll be expected to manage cash floats, balance your till at the end of each shift, and adhere strictly to all cash handling procedures. Beyond transactions, you will also assist with light cleaning duties around the front counter and dining area, help with order packaging, and contribute to a clean and inviting atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders and inquiries.
- Accurately process all cash, credit, and mobile money transactions using the POS system.
- Manage cash drawer, ensuring accurate counting and balancing at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting cashier station and front-of-house area.
- Answer phone calls and take takeout orders accurately.
- Assist in packaging food orders for takeout and delivery.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and hygiene.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Inform customers about daily specials, promotions, and menu changes.
- Assist in maintaining stock levels for packaging materials and front-end supplies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cash handling and operating a POS system (at least 6 months).
