Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and assist them with menu inquiries and order placement.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using a POS system.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Handle customer complaints and inquiries with professionalism and escalate issues when necessary.
- Assist with packaging takeout orders and ensuring accuracy before delivery to customers.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth order flow and timely service.
- Adhere to all cash handling and restaurant operational policies and procedures.
- Support general restaurant cleanliness and maintenance tasks during downtime.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in customer service or a public-facing role.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a restaurant cashier or in a similar food service role.
- Familiarity with various payment processing methods and systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
