Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to recipes and standards.
  • Oversee kitchen operations and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve customers.
  • Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and other team members to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations (e.g., HACCP).
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary diploma or equivalent certification from a recognized institution.
  • Experience with international cuisines.
