Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking diligent and motivated Day Shift Production Operators to join our client’s thriving team in the Mill Woods area of Edmonton. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor various production machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet specified standards and identify any defects.
  • Load and unload materials and products from production lines, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, performing regular housekeeping duties to support a safe and efficient environment.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report any major malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Complete production logs, reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize production flow and problem-solve.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting and reconciliation of materials.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Basic understanding of machinery operation.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Adherence to strict safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Reliability and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (6+ months) in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Familiarity with Quality Control (QC) processes.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for data entry.
