Maliba Mountain Lodge is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Restaurant Crew Members to join our vibrant team in Ha Seshote, Butha-Buthe. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and daily specials, and make informed recommendations.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, courteously, and safely to guests, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and well-maintained throughout service, anticipating guest needs.
- Clear tables, wash dishes, and maintain overall cleanliness and organization in dining areas, kitchen, and storage spaces according to health and safety standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, such as cutting vegetables, preparing garnishes, or assembling simple dishes under supervision.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and resolve any dining-related issues promptly, politely, and professionally, escalating when necessary.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for order entry, processing payments, and managing cash transactions accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and other front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Replenish condiments, silverware, glassware, linen, and other dining supplies as required to ensure continuous service.
- Adhere strictly to all lodge policies, procedures, service standards, and local regulations regarding food handling and service.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, hotel, or any other hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with basic food safety and hygiene practices (e.g., HACCP principles).
- Ability to speak Sesotho and English fluently; knowledge of other languages is a bonus.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
