Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
  • Ensure timely execution of all orders during busy service periods.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation at all times, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor food stock and communicate inventory needs to the Chef or Kitchen Manager.
  • Assist with daily food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and butchering meats.
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (grills, fryers, ovens, etc.).
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful working environment.
  • Handle raw ingredients and cooked food products in accordance with HACCP principles.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a busy restaurant setting.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently and precisely under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
  • Valid Food Handler's permit (or willingness to obtain one).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Experience with a diverse range of cuisines.
  • A creative flair and willingness to contribute to menu development.
  • First Aid certification.
