Job Description

We are seeking a highly creative, skilled, and passionate Restaurant Pastry Chef to elevate the dessert and bakery offerings at Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, prepare, and present a diverse range of high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and confectioneries for all hotel outlets and events.
  • Develop new and innovative dessert recipes, concepts, and menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the pastry section, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, control costs, and minimize waste while maintaining quality standards.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor junior pastry cooks and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations (HACCP) within the pastry section.
  • Maintain immaculate cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other culinary teams to ensure seamless integration of pastry offerings with overall menu themes.
  • Monitor portion control and presentation consistency to uphold the resort's luxury standards.
  • Handle special guest requests and dietary requirements with creativity and precision.
