Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom, ensuring items are stored safely, neatly, and accessibly according to company standards.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, reporting findings to management promptly.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment orders to prevent out-of-stock situations on the sales floor.
- Rotate stock efficiently, ensuring older items are sold first to minimize spoilage, expiration, or obsolescence.
- Prepare and arrange merchandise for display on the sales floor, adhering to visual merchandising guidelines.
- Assist with pricing, tagging, and promotional displays as needed to support sales initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including the stockroom, receiving areas, and sales floor.
- Collaborate effectively with sales associates and management to support sales floor activities and customer service.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures related to inventory handling, storage, and workplace conduct.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in a retail or warehouse environment, preferably in a stock-related role.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory tracking systems and data entry.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college education or relevant certification is a plus.
