Job Description
Are you a driven, results-oriented leader with a passion for sales and a proven track record in retail management? MTN Rwanda is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our Kirehe service center and sales point. In this pivotal full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, maximizing sales performance, and fostering a high-performing team. Your primary focus will be on sales supervision, driving targets for mobile services, devices, and value-added solutions, while maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing retail environment. This role requires a hands-on manager who can inspire staff, analyze sales data, implement effective strategies, and resolve customer issues efficiently. You will be instrumental in representing the MTN brand, upholding our standards of excellence, and contributing directly to our growth objectives in the Eastern Province. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all day-to-day retail store operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for MTN products and services, including airtime, data, devices, and MoMo.
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of sales associates, providing regular coaching and performance feedback to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Ensure excellent customer service is delivered consistently, resolving customer complaints and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Manage inventory levels, including stock ordering, receiving, merchandising, and loss prevention to optimize product availability and minimize shrinkage.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and develop proactive sales initiatives.
- Maintain the visual merchandising standards of the store, ensuring a clean, organized, and inviting shopping environment.
- Prepare regular sales reports, performance analyses, and operational summaries for management.
- Stay informed about new MTN products, services, and promotions, ensuring the team is well-versed and can effectively communicate benefits to customers.
- Handle cash management, daily reconciliations, and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in retail management, specifically in a sales-driven environment.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities with a focus on coaching and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English and Kinyarwanda.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
- Proficiency in inventory management and store operational procedures.
- Customer-centric mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with telecommunications products and services is a significant advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience managing a store or sales team within the telecommunications sector.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
