Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify the condition of all returned merchandise against purchase records and return policies.
- Accurately process returns, exchanges, and store credits, ensuring proper documentation is completed.
- Update inventory management systems to reflect returned items, ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Identify damaged, defective, or expired products and categorize them for repair, disposal, or return to vendor.
- Organize and restock eligible returned items to their designated locations on the sales floor or in storage.
- Communicate effectively with customers, sales associates, and store management regarding return status and policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe returns processing area.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures related to returns and inventory management.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 25 lbs.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
