Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in on-the-job training sessions to learn roofing techniques and safety protocols.
  • Assist experienced roofers with the removal of old roofing materials and preparation of roof surfaces.
  • Help transport materials and tools to and from the worksite, maintaining an organized and safe environment.
  • Learn to install various roofing materials, including shingles, underlayment, and flashing, under direct supervision.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and tidy worksite, ensuring all debris is properly disposed of at the end of each day.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and any potential issues.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges as part of skill development.
  • Perform general labor tasks as required to support the roofing crew.

Required Skills

  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work at heights.
