Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled roofers in all aspects of roofing installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Prepare work sites by setting up safety equipment, organizing tools, and ensuring proper material staging.
- Safely load, unload, and transport roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, insulation, and membranes.
- Perform general labor duties, including site cleanup, debris removal, and maintaining an organized work area.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced team members diligently.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any potential hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Ability to work comfortably at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks.
- Good communication skills (Swahili proficiency preferred, English is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in general labor or construction work.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and their safe operation.
- First Aid certification (advantageous).
- Residency in or near Kilima Juu, Matemwe.
