Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Scala-based applications and microservices.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices in functional programming.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve performance and stability.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential application.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Scala and functional programming paradigms.
- Extensive experience with Scala frameworks such as Akka, Play, Cats, or ZIO.
- Proven experience designing and building scalable microservices architectures.
- Proficiency with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra).
- Experience with distributed systems and message queues (e.g., Kafka).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Solid understanding of testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., ScalaTest, Specs2).
Preferred Qualifications
