Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Seamstress Alteration Specialist to join our dynamic team at The Village Market, Nairobi. This pivotal role requires an individual with an expert eye for detail, a deep understanding of garment construction, and a passion for delivering perfection. As a Seamstress Alteration Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of alterations on various types of garments, including formal wear, casual attire, custom pieces, and delicate fabrics. Your daily tasks will involve precise measuring, cutting, sewing, and fitting, ensuring that each garment meets our rigorous standards of quality and client specifications. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct client fittings, take precise measurements, and provide professional recommendations for garment adjustments.
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines, overlockers, and other tailoring equipment.
- Cut, sew, and finish garments using various techniques appropriate for different fabric types and designs.
- Ensure all alterations meet the client's specifications and the company's quality standards.
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines for garment completion and delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory management of alteration supplies and materials.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure seamless client experiences.
- Troubleshoot and resolve garment-related issues during the alteration process.
