Career.zycto is urgently seeking highly vigilant and dedicated Security Guards for Mobile Patrol operations in the historic and vibrant Wooster Square, New Haven area. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular mobile patrols of assigned properties and areas within Wooster Square.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, alarms, and access points to prevent theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergency calls, following established protocols.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all personnel and visitors.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
- Provide assistance to clients, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain a highly visible and professional presence to deter unauthorized activities.
- Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual occurrences to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during critical situations.
Required Skills
- Valid Connecticut Security Guard License (Guard Card) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in security, preferably in a mobile patrol or similar role.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Proficiency in using security equipment and basic reporting software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment under pressure.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience with GPS tracking systems and dispatch protocols.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience in customer service or public interaction.
- Familiarity with the Wooster Square area and New Haven security regulations.
