Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Helper to join our professional team at Avani Maseru Hotel. This crucial role involves supporting our security operations to ensure the safety and security of our guests, staff, and hotel property. As a Security Helper, you will be an essential part of maintaining a secure environment, working closely with the broader security team to prevent incidents, respond to emergencies, and enforce hotel policies. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of hotel premises, including guest areas, back-of-house, parking lots, and perimeter, ensuring all areas are secure and free from hazards.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems, identifying and reporting any suspicious activities or security breaches to the Security Supervisor.
- Assist in controlling access points to the hotel, verifying credentials of visitors, contractors, and staff as required.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, following established protocols and assisting guests and staff during critical situations.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, directions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable stay, while maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.
- Prepare clear and concise incident reports for all security-related events, accurately documenting observations and actions taken.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to address security concerns and support the overall operational efficiency of the hotel.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Knowledge of local security regulations and emergency procedures
- Completed high school education or equivalent
