Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment to detect and report suspicious activities, unauthorized entry, or security incidents.
- Operate and manage access control systems, ensuring compliance with security protocols for entry and exit points across the port.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms and alerts, assessing situations and relaying critical information to on-site security personnel and relevant authorities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts, ensuring thorough record-keeping.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with security team members, port staff, and external authorities when required, providing clear and concise updates.
- Assist in the investigation of security incidents by efficiently retrieving and reviewing surveillance footage and other data.
- Ensure the proper functioning of monitoring equipment and report any technical issues immediately to minimize operational downtime.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven ability to operate CCTV and alarm monitoring systems.
- Excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of vigilance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English to facilitate clear reporting and coordination.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new security software and systems quickly.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment and make quick, sound decisions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a 24/7 operation.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
