Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, checking for unauthorized persons, hazards, and suspicious activities.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, alarms, and access points to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and security incidents, documenting all occurrences.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, as well as client-specific regulations, ensuring compliance.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Provide assistance and direction to visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a visible and authoritative presence to deter criminal activity and promote a sense of security.
Required Skills
- Valid California Guard Card (BSIS).
- Minimum 1 year (12 months) of verifiable security experience.
- Excellent observational, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and perform light physical duties.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and communication.
- Clean criminal background and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Prior experience in patrol, corporate, or commercial security environments.
- Knowledge of local law enforcement procedures and protocols.
