As a Security Patrol Assistant, you will be the eyes and ears on the ground, playing a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients’ premises. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot patrols of designated areas, ensuring the security and safety of premises.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems, responding promptly to alerts and suspicious activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and clients with inquiries and directions.
- Accurately document and report all incidents, observations, and daily activities in detailed logs.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations.
- Respond effectively to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or disturbances, providing initial assistance and coordinating with emergency services.
- Operate and maintain security equipment, including access control systems, communication devices, and mobile patrol vehicles (if applicable).
Required Skills
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and system monitoring.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and respond to incidents.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean driving record (for mobile patrol roles).
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of Basic Security Training (BST) certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Prior experience in customer service or a public-facing role.
- Knowledge of relevant security laws and regulations in British Columbia.
