Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, systematic patrols of designated premises, both internal and external, during night hours.
- Monitor and operate CCTV surveillance systems to identify and respond to potential threats or incidents.
- Manage access control points, verifying credentials and logging visitors/vehicles as required.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches, following established protocols.
- Write detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and observations.
- Enforce site rules and regulations to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Liaise with emergency services when necessary and provide clear, concise information.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, hazards, or suspicious activities.
- Undertake regular checks of fire safety equipment and emergency exits.
- Provide a visible and professional security presence to deter unauthorized access and criminal activity.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding)
- Proven experience in a security patrol or static guarding role (minimum 12 months)
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Proficiency in using CCTV systems and basic access control equipment
- Good understanding of security procedures and incident management
