Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and offer proactive assistance at the self-checkout terminals.
- Guide customers through the self-checkout process, ensuring they can scan, bag, and pay with ease.
- Monitor the self-checkout area, providing immediate support for any technical issues or scanning problems.
- Process manual transactions, age-restricted sales, and override requests when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the self-checkout stations and surrounding area.
- Handle customer queries and resolve minor complaints efficiently and courteously.
- Assist with bagging items and ensuring all purchases are correctly processed.
- Support colleagues with general store duties during quieter periods, contributing to overall store operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and security.
