Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise care assistants, providing guidance and support during shifts.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medication in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Assist service users with personal care, mobility, feeding, and other daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, incidents, and observations.
  • Act as a key worker for designated service users, building strong relationships and advocating for their needs.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and critical situations, escalating concerns to senior staff or medical professionals as required.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all service users.

Required Skills

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a Senior Care Worker or equivalent leadership role in a care setting.
  • Demonstrable understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic care planning systems.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Driving license with access to own vehicle (for potential community-based roles or varied shifts).
