Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise care assistants, providing guidance and support during shifts.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Administer medication in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Assist service users with personal care, mobility, feeding, and other daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, incidents, and observations.
- Act as a key worker for designated service users, building strong relationships and advocating for their needs.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and critical situations, escalating concerns to senior staff or medical professionals as required.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all service users.
Required Skills
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Senior Care Worker or equivalent leadership role in a care setting.
- Demonstrable understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic care planning systems.
- First Aid certification.
- Driving license with access to own vehicle (for potential community-based roles or varied shifts).
