Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team in Bindura. As a Senior Financial Analyst at Bindura Nickel Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing robust financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Conduct comprehensive financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
- Perform variance analysis, comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts, and provide insightful explanations for deviations.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management and various departments.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist in the evaluation of capital expenditure projects, including ROI, payback period, and NPV analysis.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and controls.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operational teams to understand business drivers and provide financial guidance.
- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required by business needs.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling)
- Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CFA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
- Experience in the mining or heavy industry sector.
