Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Senior Payroll Analyst to join our dynamic finance team in Marondera. This pivotal role involves the comprehensive management of our payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency for a diverse workforce across various departments within Seed Co. As a Senior Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll cycle, from data collection and processing to reconciliation and reporting. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our payroll system, adhering strictly to Zimbabwean labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate processing of salaries, wages, benefits, and deductions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant Zimbabwean labor laws, tax regulations (PAYE), NSSA, and other statutory requirements.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and general ledger entries, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.
  • Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to management, HR, and relevant external bodies.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including pension, medical aid, and other allowances.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices, advising on necessary policy or process changes.
  • Assist in the implementation and optimization of payroll systems and technologies.
  • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior payroll staff, if applicable.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst or similar role in Zimbabwe.
  • In-depth knowledge of Zimbabwean labor laws, tax regulations (PAYE), and NSSA contributions.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., Sage Payroll, SAP HR).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in Payroll Management (e.g., IPP, CIPP).
  • Experience with large-scale payroll processing for a diverse workforce.
