Key Responsibilities
- Assist in keyword research to identify relevant terms for content optimization related to our hotel and local attractions.
- Support the creation and optimization of website content, including blog posts, landing pages, and service descriptions, ensuring adherence to SEO best practices.
- Help manage and update local business listings (e.g., Google My Business) to enhance local search visibility for our hotel.
- Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console, preparing basic reports on key metrics.
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify SEO opportunities and trends within the hospitality sector in Zanzibar.
- Assist with on-page SEO tasks, such as title tag and meta description optimization for new and existing web pages.
- Learn and apply basic link-building strategies under supervision to improve domain authority.
- Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and industry news to propose relevant adjustments to our strategy.
- Collaborate with the broader marketing team on various digital campaigns and initiatives, providing SEO insights.
Required Skills
- Strong interest and foundational understanding of digital marketing and Search Engine Optimization principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with an ability to craft engaging copy.
