Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly, escorting them to tables and presenting menus.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, utilizing point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and gracefully, ensuring correct presentation and temperature.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, promptly addressing any requests or issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including table setting, clearing, and sanitization.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other front-of-house team members.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Be knowledgeable about menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to confidently answer guest questions.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking supplies and preparing for the next shift.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Server or in a similar customer service role (minimum 6 months).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate).
