Are you a night owl looking for a stable and impactful role? Career.zycto is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our Night Shift Shelf Stocker team in Wolverton, Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial part in ensuring our store is impeccably organized and fully stocked for our customers each day. As a Night Shift Shelf Stocker, you will be instrumental in maintaining the flow of products from our delivery bays to the sales floor, transforming empty shelves into inviting displays. Your precision and efficiency during the quieter night hours will directly contribute to a positive shopping experience for thousands. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently unload deliveries and transport products to the appropriate storage or shelving areas.
- Accurately stock shelves, ensuring products are placed in designated locations according to planograms.
- Rotate stock to ensure older products are sold first (FIFO – First-In, First-Out) and remove expired or damaged items.
- Ensure all products are correctly priced and clearly displayed.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment, including clearing aisles of empty boxes and debris.
- Operate manual handling equipment safely and responsibly (e.g., pallet trucks) after receiving appropriate training.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet overnight stocking goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently during night-time hours (typically 10 PM – 7 AM).
- Physical fitness, including the ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in product placement and rotation.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills to interact with colleagues.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
- Experience with manual handling equipment.
- Understanding of stock rotation and merchandising principles.
