Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation for various carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS).
- Prepare packages for shipment, ensuring proper cushioning and protective measures are in place to prevent damage.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, organizing packages efficiently within the shipping area.
- Conduct daily inventory counts and assist with stock rotation and organization.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, if required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the shipping and receiving areas.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve shipping discrepancies and ensure order accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any issues or delays in the shipping process.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics role, preferably in an e-commerce setting.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic math skills for counting inventory and calculating dimensions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with inventory management systems (IMS) or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with various shipping methods and carrier requirements.
- Certification in operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift) is a plus.
