As a Shipping Clerk, your expertise will be crucial in managing the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments. Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately, including unpacking, checking, and recording goods.
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, such as invoices, purchase orders, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Maintain precise inventory records, performing regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to schedule and track shipments.
- Ensure all shipping activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and local/international customs laws.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or trolleys, to move and organize goods.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and team members regarding shipment statuses and any issues.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or surpluses to management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, data entry systems).
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 25kg comfortably.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
