As a Shipping Clerk, your expertise will be crucial in managing the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments. You’ll be the linchpin in ensuring that all items are correctly received, documented, stored, and dispatched according to precise specifications and schedules. Key Responsibilities

  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately, including unpacking, checking, and recording goods.
  • Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, such as invoices, purchase orders, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Maintain precise inventory records, performing regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to schedule and track shipments.
  • Ensure all shipping activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and local/international customs laws.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or trolleys, to move and organize goods.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and team members regarding shipment statuses and any issues.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or surpluses to management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, data entry systems).
  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 25kg comfortably.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specific inventory management or shipping software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS).
  • Forklift operator certification.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced logistics or manufacturing environment.
