Key Responsibilities
- Prepare all outgoing shipments accurately, including packaging, labeling, and generating shipping documents (bills of lading, customs forms).
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring efficient space utilization and adherence to safety standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently (certification preferred).
- Coordinate with freight carriers, couriers, and internal departments to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with inventory management, ensuring data accuracy in the system.
- Conduct quality checks on products before shipment to prevent damage or errors.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, promoting a safe and productive environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 18 months of proven experience as a Shipping Clerk, Warehouse Associate, or similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operator certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).
- Post-secondary education or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with international shipping regulations and documentation.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
