Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labour duties on construction sites, including site clean-up, material handling, and debris removal.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, masons, electricians) with various tasks as directed.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare work areas, including digging trenches, mixing concrete, and preparing surfaces.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor site conditions and report any hazards or unsafe situations to the supervisor.
- Maintain site organization and cleanliness.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and collaborating with colleagues.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
