Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, certified, and passionate Full-Time Sky Diving Instructor to join our client’s dynamic team in Saguenay, Quebec. You will be responsible for pre-jump briefings, equipment checks, in-air guidance, and post-jump debriefings. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-jump briefings, ensuring all students understand safety procedures and the skydiving process.
- Perform meticulous equipment checks for self, students, and all necessary gear before each jump.
- Safely execute tandem jumps with students, providing guidance and ensuring a positive experience from take-off to landing.
- Provide instruction and coaching for Accelerated Freefall (AFF) or other training programs, if qualified and required.
- Maintain all relevant skydiving certifications and ratings in good standing.
- Adhere strictly to all national and local skydiving regulations and company safety protocols.
- Assist with parachute packing, manifest duties, and other ground operations as needed.
- Engage with customers, fostering a friendly, professional, and encouraging atmosphere.
- Participate in ongoing training and safety refreshers.
- Conduct post-jump debriefings, addressing student questions and celebrating their accomplishments.
Required Skills
- USPA/CSPA Tandem Instructor rating (or equivalent international certification)
- Minimum of 500 documented tandem jumps
- Valid Class 1 or 2 Medical Certificate (or equivalent)
- Proven experience with various parachute systems and safety equipment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
Preferred Qualifications
- AFF Instructor rating
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience in customer service or recreational instruction
- Fluency in French (Bilingualism is a significant asset for Quebec operations)
